Neversink Mountain Lecture & Hike with Paul Druzba, a two-part series
March 28 from 7:00 pm - 8:30 pm$20
Join Berks County native historian and author Paul Druzba for an evening lecture on the history of Neversink Mountain, focused on the Resort Period of 1880-1930, when the Neversink Mountain Railroad operated and a handful of resorts provided a tourist getaway. Druzba is the author of two books: “Neversink: Reading’s ‘Other’ Mountain,” and “Pendora: Forgotten Trolley Park of Reading.” Join Paul for one or both of the lecture and accompanying hike on Neversink Mountain, where you’ll see first-hand the area where the railroad and resorts operated, and any remaining ruins from the Resort Period. Copies of Druzba’s book will be for sale at the time of the lecture and can be signed by the author. Lecture to be held on March 28th at The Nature Place; hike to follow on March 31st.
$20/per person, includes both lecture & hike. Berks Nature members receive a 30% discount.
